six qts is plenty maybe for drag racing but high output road coursing and other areas of racing its not enough. Its never an issue of supporting someone...its an issue of filling a void in what is needed. I have no problem supporting Greg & Seb...they do good work....but for what is needed for this build is by far more than what the current oil pan can produce.
This oil pan is specifically made to work in conjunction with the modified oil system I did on this block. Our oiling system is something less desired as we are racing on a low speed oil system which is unfortunate. We have to modify/fix the issue so we can obtain a longer longevity of our engine builds...that goes for all of us to include IPP/Z1 ect ect. The more we can do to better the oil system the better off the builders are in keeping engines alive. Granted it also plays a part on the consumer as well in how they drive and take care of the engine but it ultimately goes back to keeping it alive under adverse conditions which is what I'm working on. Modified oiling system...a new pan has been designed...im waiting to hear back from my buddy on its arrival. futher endeavors are a completely new crankshaft for both OE and a stroked assembly. Both containing an oil system designed for high speed oiling so our engine survive in the upper RPM/HP realm. Face it...we are getting more and more cars out making more and more power...our oiling system has to be able to keep up at least if not supercede the expectations of what we are wanting to do to the engines as far as HP is concerned.
